MINNEAPOLIS—FischerHealth, the west coast healthcare subsidiary of Porter Novelli, is opening an office in Minneapolis, which has emerged as a center of the medical device industry. The office is the firm’s first freestanding office outside its Los Angeles headquarters, although it has placed personnel in Porter offices around the country since its acquisition.
Andrew Cone, an 18-year veteran of the medical device industry who previously was with Minnetonka-based Chronimed, will lead the Twin Cities office as senior vice president and will be national practice leader for the agency’s medical devices and diagnostics division.
“There are tremendous agencies in town, but the difference is we’re focused,” Cone told Los Angeles Business magazine. “There are many different ways we can leverage what I know with what these guys do.”
