LONDON—Fishburn Hedges has been reappointed as the communications support agency for the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust for a second year.  The decision not to retender follows the success of Holocaust Memorial Day in 2010. Work in the run-up to HMD 2010 generated a record number of local events.

The eight-month PR brief will see the team raise awareness of HMD and also to help raise the profile of HMDT. The agency will also be supporting and publicizing the free resources HMDT provides for a wide range of audiences and purposes including schools and prisons.

Fishburn Hedges will be responsible for handling PR for the Trust in the run up to the day and on the day itself, including running a 24/7 press office. Proactive activity will focus on helping to broaden the audience for HMD 2011 and build on the momentum generated during HMD 2010.

The Fishburn Hedges team is headed up by associate director Judith Moore who will report to Carly Whyborn, CEO of HMDT.
