LONDON—Fitch Ratings has appointed Mark Morley as senior director and head of corporate communications for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Morley was most recently head of corporate communications and public affairs for the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority, the legal and financial regulatory body for international banks and financial institutions.
Based in London, Morley will report to Daniel Noonan, managing director and global head of corporate communications and will work to differentiate the company from other ratings agencies in the aftermath of the global financial crisis. Morley succeeds Julian Dennison, who has been appointed to a new position within Fitch's global research strategy group.
Prior to spending three years with the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority, Morley held senior communications roles with a number of international organizations including Schlumberger WesternGeco, the Catholic Church, and Weber Shandwick.
