BOSTON—FitzGerald Communications, a subsidiary of Omnicom’s Brodeur Worldwide unit, been named agency of record for both Informatica Corporation and NMS Communications after two extensive agency reviews. The two accounts are believed to be worth a combined seven figures.

According to Maura FitzGerald, agency founder, president and CEO, “Our focus this year was to add more mid-to-large-sized market segment leaders to the client roster to protect against the volatility seen with early stage start-ups.”

Based in Redwood City, Informatica is a leading provider of business analytics software that helps global 2000 companies monitor and manage the performance of key business operations across the enterprise. It was previously working with Golin/Harris in San Francisco. The account will be serviced primarily from the new Redwood Shores, Calif. office with additional support from New York City.

“FitzGerald Communications continues to build on its reputation for helping some of the best known brands in enterprise software communicate highly complex messaging to an ever widening set of stakeholders,” said Sanjay Poonen, vice president of worldwide marketing at Informatica. “FitzGerald will be a strategic partner for Informatica as we look to lead the industry dialogue on leveraging business analytics for increased corporate performance.”

Headquartered in Framingham, Mass., NMS designs, delivers, and supports technology-leading systems and system building blocks for voice, video, and data communications on wireless and wireline networks.  It has been working with CHEN Public Relations. The account will be serviced out of FitzGerald’s Boston headquarters.

“We wanted an agency that understood our business and knew how to reach our targets with compelling messages, delivering more than just press releases and trade press coverage,” said Pam Kukla, director of corporate communications, NMS Communications. “FitzGerald presented a long history of work with companies in telecommunications, networking, wireless, and voice over IP.”
