BOSTON—FitzGerald Communications has named Greg Dvorken senior vice president and general manager of the agency’s New York office. Until recently, Dvorken managed Greg Dvorken Communications, a public relations and communications consultancy focused on the technology and services industries, with a virtual staff of more than 40 communications professionals.

Prior to founding GDC, Dvorken was a director of corporate public relations for KPMG, the $13 billion accounting and financial services firm, where he had global responsibility for the company’s communication to top-tier business press worldwide, as well as crisis communications. Previously, he was a senior manager of corporate public relations for Sony Electronics, the $12 billion North American electronics arm of Sony Corporation.

According to agency founder Maura FitzGerald, Dworker’sn “experience with large global brands and consumer technology made him the ideal candidate to lead the New York office.”
