LONDON—Liam FitzPatrick has re-joined the Bell Pottinger Group to help develop a new internal communications practice.

He left Bell Pottinger eight years ago to become global head of internal communications for Marconi.  For the last few years he has run his own specialist consultancy, Working Communications, working with clients such as Maersk, The International Red Cross, Philips, The Bank for International Settlements, Warwick University and Tetra Pak.

According to BPG chairman Kevin Murray: “In recent years Bell Pottinger has been talking to more and more clients about the need to integrate external messaging with communication to employees.  We have been successful at advising on a number of internal projects and the market, as we come out of recession, is presenting a number of new and exciting opportunities.”

FitzPatrick will be based within Bell Pottinger Public Rrelations, reporting to David Wilson, although his role—like that of Alex Woolfall and the Bell Pottinger issues and crisis management practice—will draw upon and expand BPG’s existing group resources.
