Fleishman Adds IT Lobbyist Pearl

Fleishman-Hillard has named Marc Pearl senior vice president of FH/GPC, its government relations subsidiary in Washington. Pearl will lead the firm’s technology, communications, and e-commerce practice group.

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 13—Fleishman-Hillard has named Marc Pearl senior vice president of FH/GPC, its government relations subsidiary in Washington. Pearl will lead the firm’s technology, communications, and e-commerce practice group.
 
According to Philip Diehl, FH/GPC’s president and COO, “Marc is widely recognized as one of the best IT strategists in Washington, and we look forward to building a thriving e-commerce practice around him.” Pearl has been recognized by Congressional Quarterly as one of the “Ten Leading IT Lobbyists,” and currently serves as the e-commerce industry representative on the U.S. delegation to The Hague Conference on International Private and Commercial Law.
 
He comes to FH/GPC after serving as a partner and head of the e-commerce policy practice at Shaw Pittman. He has held positions as senior vice president and general counsel of the Information Technology Association of America and chief of staff, legislative counsel and appropriations associate for several senior members of Congress.
