NEW DELHI—Fleishman-Hillard International Communications has expanded its India footprint, opening a wholly owned office in New Delhi that complements the firm’s established presence in Mumbai, which opened in 2007. Megha Sharma has been appointed vice president with responsibility for leading the new office, which will provide strategic communications counsel to corporations and organizations based in India or doing business in the country.

“India is one of the most dynamic countries for business today, as companies that are looking for growth increasingly look to India,” says Dave Senay, president and chief executive officer of Fleishman-Hillard. “Our 2009 New Asian Champions survey indicated that smart companies in India are building and sustaining a good corporate reputation because they know it’s a competitive differentiator in a market that attracts investment and sees significant consumer spend.”

The new office offers a range of services that includes CEO communications, corporate reputation counsel, media training, messaging workshops, communications audits and crisis and issues management. Fleishman-Hillard New Delhi has product launch and media relations expertise in a number of sectors, from technology to FMCG to healthcare.

A specialist in corporate reputation management and crisis communications, Sharma joined Fleishman-Hillard from Euro RSCG PR & Events, where she headed the New Delhi branch. She began her communications career with McCann Erickson in Mumbai and later on joined the firm’s office in New Delhi.
