MOSCOW—Fleishman-Hillard has expanded its presence in Russia by forming a joint venture with Russian public relations agency Vanguard PR. The new company, Fleishman-Hillard Vanguard, will combine the international expertise of Fleishman-Hillard and the local experience and market knowledge of Vanguard PR.

Since 2005, Fleishman-Hillard and Vanguard have collaborated successfully on several healthcare, technology, and corporate communications programs. The new alliance will leverage the agencies’ combined resources (more than 40 people in Moscow), experience, relationships, and ability to better serve clients and accelerate growth in quickly developing markets of the Russian Federation and other countries, including Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

“We see a tremendous potential in the growing markets of Russia and other countries in this region,” says Dave Senay, Fleishman-Hillard’s president and chief executive officer. “Fleishman-Hillard Vanguard not only will serve international and local companies in Russia, but also will give Russian corporations access to global communications services around the world.”

Elena Fadeeva, general manager of Vanguard PR, will be managing director of Fleishman-Hillard Vanguard. Vanguard PR has been working in Russia since 1993 and has capabilities in corporate and public affairs, marketing communications, technology, and healthcare PR. It covers all of Russia and also works in Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
