HONG KONG—Omnicom agencies Fleishman-Hillard and Gavin Anderson & Company will partner in Asia—excluding Japan and Australia—to better serve clients and accelerate their growth in the region.

The two firms say the combination of Gavin Anderson’s financial and corporate communications and public affairs expertise with Fleishman-Hillard’s experience in corporate, consumer, healthcare and technology communications, and public affairs will provide a powerful offering for clients across Asia. Gavin Anderson has offices in Hong Kong and Singapore while F-H has a network of offices that includes Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul, Manila, and Kuala Lumpur.

The offices in Hong Kong and Singapore will be merged.

Richard Barton, currently CEO of Gavin Anderson Singapore, will become CEO of Gavin Anderson Asia, excluding Japan and Australia, and will be responsible for the company’s offices in Hong Kong and Singapore. Laurence Cook, currently president of Gavin Anderson Asia and CEO of Gavin Anderson Hong Kong, will return to Gavin Anderson in London. Terence Foo will become general manager of Gavin Anderson Singapore.

Barton and Lynne Anne Stevenson, Hong Kong-based senior partner and regional director of Fleishman-Hillard Asia-Pacific, will work together to build further the two companies’ respective brands in the region and to cultivate cross referral business opportunities.

Said Barton, “This arrangement has enormous potential for both our firms across Asia.  We have had some great discussions with Lynne Anne about our two firms working together and we’re excited about the future.  Together we will provide clients an unmatched offering both in terms of breadth, depth and quality of service and in terms of geographic reach.”
