BOSTON—Omnicom-owned cause branding specialist Cone has promoted Bill Fleishman to president, responsible for all agency account service disciplines in addition to serving as a strategic advisor and counselor for key agency clients.

Fleishman joined the agency in 2000 to lead the brand marketing discipline, the agency’s marketing public relations practice. In 2006, he was given the additional title of managing director, working with the discipline heads of cause branding, corporate responsibility and crisis prevention and management to ensure clients were receiving the best possible strategic counsel and talent. As managing director, he also launched Cone’s creative and new media service areas.

As president, all discipline heads will report directly to Fleishman. He will work in collaboration with the discipline heads and the executive leadership team to set strategy and vision for the future and identify product and service offerings that will help maintain Cone’s competitive edge. Fleishman will also continue to head the brand marketing discipline as well as the creative and new media service areas.
