LOS ANGELES—Fleishman-Hillard has promoted Melissa Schoeb, currently general manager of its San Diego office, to take additional responsibility for Fleishman-Hillard’s office in Los Angeles. Her new title will be general manager of Fleishman-Hillard Southern California.

Schoeb will be based in the L.A. office and will report to Curt Kundred, president of Fleishman Hillard’s western region. Richard Kline, regional president and senior partner, who has served as general manager of the Los Angeles office for the past two years as the firm dealt with the fallout from charges of fraudulent billing on several accounts, will return to a corporate role spearheading strategic growth initiatives.

The case came to a close last month after former L.A. general manager Doug Dowie was found guilty on 15 counts of conspiracy and fraud.

Schoeb has 15 years of experience, focused on corporate reputation programs, repositioning efforts, re-branding initiatives, strategic messaging, product introductions, and internal communications.
