TORONTO—GPC Public Affairs has combined operations with sister company Fleishman-Hillard Canada under the Fleishman-Hillard brand. The new Fleishman-Hillard Canada will become one of Canada’s leading full-service communications and public affairs firms, with more than 150 employees and offices in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, and Vancouver.

The addition of GPC will build on Fleishman-Hillard’s existing strength in public relations and strategic communications, by adding government relations, public policy consulting, and opinion research capabilities.

“For five years, GPC has been an important part of the Fleishman-Hillard network of companies. This new, more formal alignment creates the best of both worlds, allowing both companies to deliver greater value to clients,” said John Graham, chairman and chief executive officer of Fleishman-Hillard.

Linda Smith, Fleishman-Hillard executive vice president, senior partner and regional director, says: “Our clients are increasingly facing public affairs and regulatory challenges and they expect us to provide seamless and expert support.”

The firm will be jointly led by Michael von Herff, GPC executive vice president, and Smith who will serve as co-chairs of a newly-established national management committee.
