CHICAGO—The Florida Citrus Commission, governing body of the Florida Department of Citrus, has chosen GolinHarris as agency of record for public relations in the U.S., Canada and Europe. Golin won the business in a competitive re-bid, and the win marks the 12th year of its partnership with the FDOC.

“Among the three agencies competing for our business, GolinHarris demonstrated deeper understanding of our business and commitment to our integrated marketing needs, in addition to bringing fresh, new public relations thinking to the table,” says Leigh Killeen, deputy executive director for marketing at the FDOC. “GolinHarris has consistently offered a results-based approach to helping us promote and protect the market for Florida citrus domestically and internationally.”

For the U.S. assignment, GolinHarris will be charged with promoting orange juice, grapefruit juice and fresh citrus, including specialty fruit, and with corporate communications and issues management support. Internationally, the primary focus will be on fresh grapefruit and grapefruit juice.
