WASHINGTON, D.C.—Antonia Ferrier has joined Manning Selvage & Lee’s Washington, D.C., office as vice president for public affairs after serving for three years as communications director for U.S. Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Me).

Prior to working for Snowe, Ferrier worked on former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist’s communications team and at the National Republican Senatorial Committee in 2002, when Republicans successfully regained the majority. Earlier, she worked for an international consulting firm headed by former U.S. Ambassador to Germany, Richard Burt, and in the international practice at lobbying firm Barbour Griffith & Rogers.

Ferrier is the latest in a series of key hires in MS&L’s global public affairs practice. Last year, Peter Steere joined MS&L as head of public affairs for MS&L Europe after serving as director of strategic communications for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for APCO Worldwide.
