Former Alaska Airlines Exec Launches Consulting Firm

Greg Witter, a longtime public relations executive for Alaska Airlines and a former U.S. House and Senate press secretary, has launched a strategic communications consulting firm, The Witter Group.

SEATTLE—Greg Witter, a longtime public relations executive for Alaska Airlines and a former U.S. House and Senate press secretary, has launched a strategic communications consulting firm. The Witter Group, based in Seattle, offers a full range of services, with particular emphasis on crisis communications, labor relations, employee communications, media training and marketing communications.

Witter spent 15 years with Alaska Airlines in a series of positions of increasing responsibility, the last five as managing director of corporate and strategic communications. He has expertise in media relations, Web communications, government affairs, video communications and annual report writing and production.

Before Alaska Airlines, Witter spent four years in Washington, D.C., as a press secretary to members of the U.S. House and Senate from the Pacific Northwest. Prior to that, he was the business writer for the Tri-City Herald in Kennewick, Wash.
