Former Anchor Giggans Joins Edelman's L.A. Public Affairs Unit

Edelman has hired veteran newscaster Jim Giggans to head its southern California public affairs team. Giggans will lead Edelman’s public affairs practice in Los Angeles and throughout southern California.

LOS ANGELES—Edelman has hired veteran newscaster Jim Giggans to head its southern California public affairs team. Giggans will lead Edelman’s public affairs practice in Los Angeles and throughout southern California, collaborating with public affairs and issue management teams Sacramento, New York and Washington D.C., as well as those in Europe and Asia.  

Giggans was previously an anchor and news reporter, winning several prestigious national and local awards during his twenty-year tenure as a journalist at KNBC and the NBC and ABC networks. He was most recently an international public policy consultant for educational and corporate clients, including Santa Monica College and Club Med USA, owned by French corporation Le Club Méditerranée

Giggans, who will be a senior vice president at Edelman, has served on several public boards and fund-raising campaigns including the Los Angeles Opera, the Jenesse Center for Battered Women, the Mancini Institute for Young Musicians, the Santa Monica Museum of Flying, and the capital campaign for Santa Monica College.
