Bush during his tenure as governor of Texas, has joined Shelton & Caudle, the public affairs and crisis management subsidiary of Houston public relations firm Vollmer. Edwards will serve as an executive trainer, providing media training to senior client executives.

Edwards spent three years, first as deputy communications director and then as communications director to the governor, and also spent four years as communications director for the Texas Department of Protective & Regulatory Services. Prior to entering the political arena, she was new anchor and reporter at KDFW-TV in Dallas, KCAL-TV in Los Angeles, and other news stations.
