NEW YORK—Sloane & Company has hired Anton Nicholas as managing director. Nicholas will lead several high-profile Sloane & Company client programs and will support existing client account teams.

Nicholas joins Sloane after four years as partner and managing director with FD International, most recently as chief executive of FD Morgen Walke, responsible for overall management of all North America operations. Prior to that position, Nicholas was Head of FD-US and assisted in the merger of Financial Dynamics and Morgen-Walke.

Previously, Nicholas spent 18 months with FD London as co-head of its international assignments group.

“Anton is a talented individual with a proven track record of implementing successful public and investor relations programs for a wide range of clients in the U.S. and abroad,” said CEO and founder Elliot Sloane. “His global perspective, significant leadership skills and experience across many industries significantly adds to our ability to provide all of our clients with the highest level of senior communications strategic counsel and execution.”

Before joining FD International, Nicholas spent five combined years with Sard Verbinnen and the Abernathy MacGregor Group.
