NEW YORK—Alan Taylor Communications has hired Stacey Gomoljak as a vice president in its New York office. Gomoljak, formerly Mattel’s director of communications, will play a lead role in the development and execution of consumer marketing communications strategies for the agency’s growing roster of Fortune 500 companies and category leaders.

“Stacey has extensive experience, leadership skills and a proven track record in strategic consumer brand marketing and communications that will provide long-term benefits to the agency and its client partners,” said Tony Signore, CEO and managing partner. “She is an industry leader with a wealth of brand building experience that will serve us well as we play a more strategic role with our client partners.”

During her tenure at Mattel, Gomoljak developed and managed multiple brand communication strategies for such leading brands as Barbie and Hot Wheels. In addition, she worked closely with licensees of Mattel Brands and a variety of studios including Miramax, Warner Brothers and Lion’s Gate Home Entertainment.

Most recently, she managed PR for the highly publicized break-up of Barbie and Ken, which garnered more than $4 million worth of incremental media coverage for Mattel.

Earlier, she spent six years at GolinHarris’ Los Angeles office, where she led initiatives for Toyota, Amazon.com and Nestlè.
