NEW YORK—Brunswick Group has added Nick Lovegrove, formerly a senior partner at McKinsey, as managing partner in the US, and appointed Simon Sporborg as managing partner in the UK. In his new role—which has been open since the departure of Michael Buckley a year ago—Lovegrove will work alongside senior partner Steve Lipin to lead the firm’s work in the US.

Lovegrove spent more than 30 years with McKinsey & Company as the managing partner of McKinsey’s Washington, DC, office and as the leader of several practice areas for McKinsey across Europe, notably in media and information services, and in the firm’s government and public sector work.

For the past two years, he worked with the Albright Stonebridge Group, an international public affairs advisory firm.

Sporborg joined Brunswick in 1998 and has been a partner in the London office for nearly 10 years. He works across the consumer industries sector, as well as leading Brunswick’s real estate, gaming and lodging practice and has experience in financial communications, corporate campaigns, transactions, crises and issues management.

He also sits on the board of MerchantCantos, Brunswick’s digital business.

Sporborg replaces Nick Claydon, senior partner, who has led the London office for four years and will focus on integrating the firm’s client offer across Europe.
