Former PBS Exec Joins Rogers & Associates

Rogers & Associates has hired Barbara Goen, a 25-year veteran of Los Angeles-based public television station KCET, as senior vice president.

LOS ANGELES—Rogers & Associates has hired Barbara Goen, a 25-year veteran of Los Angeles-based public television station KCET, as senior vice president.

Rogers & Associates has represented KCET for over a decade, and Goen will assume responsibilities within the agency for the station’s business, as well as managing other accounts and developing new business.

At KCET, the West Coast flagship station for PBS, Goen was senior executive in charge of communications and brand management. Her responsibilities included oversight of the company’s community advisory board and its outreach activities, on-air branding and image-building, on-air fundraising, member and donor communications, advertising, media relations and program publicity. 

Goen also served as an advisory board member for PBS’ national development and communications areas, as well as for several of  PBS’ program suppliers, including Sesame Workshop and Scholastic Entertainment.
