WASHINGTON, D.C., May 11—Former Washington Post writer Thomas Lippman is joining Chlopak Leonard Schechter & Associates as a managing director. Lippman joins the firm after two years as executive vice president for communications at the World Wildlife Fund.
While at the Post, Lippman’s work covered diplomatic, national security, and economic issues. In 33 years with the paper, he served as an editor, and as the paper’s Indochina bureau chief. According to CLS partner Peter Schechter, “Tom has been almost everywhere and seen just about everything. Whether it’s on international or economic issues, clients and CLS colleagues will benefit from his keen political and business knowledge.”
CLS was acquired last year by Omnicom’s Gavin Anderson & Company.
