Jefferson Consulting Group, an independent government relations and business consulting firm, has hired Michael Arnone as a director, focusing on homeland security and IT-related issues facing Congress.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Jefferson Consulting Group, an independent government relations and business consulting firm, has hired Michael Arnone as a director, focusing on homeland security and IT-related issues facing Congress and executive agencies, as well as strategic communications and messaging within the federal market.

Prior to joining JCG, Arnone was a reporter with Federal Computer Week, where he was the chief correspondent covering breaking news, trends, and issues related to cyber, physical and homeland security. He previously worked as a reporter for the Chronicle of Higher Education, where he developed and covered the magazine’s homeland security, IT and legal beats.

Previously experience includes position with the Christian Science Monitor, The Times of Trenton, and the Pennington Post (NJ).
