ALEXANDRIA—Fox News Channel producer Stacy Lloyd, recently returned from ten weeks on assignment covering the U.S. invasion of Iraq, is joining public affairs firm The Hawthorn Group, as vice president of media relations.

Lloyd comes to Hawthorn from the Fox News Channel where she served as a Washington D.C.-based producer.  Her most recent assignment was covering the conflict in Iraq from Kuwait City and Baghdad.  Other stories she has covered include the September 11 attacks, the war on terror, the Shuttle Columbia tragedy, the Beltway Sniper, and the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping.

Before joining Fox, Lloyd was the education reporter for KNXV-TV in Phoenix where she covered Arizona and national education stories.  Before joining KNXV, she served as a senior producer for EMG Networks, an education video company.

According to Hawthorn chairman John Ashford, Lloyd “brings very current, very comprehensive, very ‘real-world’ journalism experience and excitement to Hawthorn.  She will be a valuable addition to our team.”

Her first assignment will be working with Honeywell on its corporate foundation activities.  She will also provide media counsel to a number of Hawthorn clients.
