Foxwoods Taps Middleberg for Marketing Counsel

Euro RSCG Middleberg, continuing the diversification of its business into mainstream consumer and corporate communications, has been named public relations agency of record by Foxwoods.

NEW YORK—Euro RSCG Middleberg, continuing the diversification of its business into mainstream consumer and corporate communications, has been named public relations agency of record by Foxwoods, the largest gaming resort in the world, owned and operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.

Middleberg will provide marketing and public relations support to promote the Foxwoods brand and its entertainment, gaming, hospitality and dining offerings.

“Middleberg demonstrated the perfect mix of consumer branding experience and strategic planning,” says Martin Kramer, Foxwoods’ director of advertising. “It also provided a very creative and original approach. It won us over with its intelligence, creativity, and genuine enthusiasm for our success.”

Middleberg was awarded the Foxwoods account following a search and review process that extended more than three months. Finalists were Dan Klores Communications and RF Binder.

The firm will also develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns in the Hispanic and African-American communities and will assist Foxwoods in its ongoing expansion programs, including the launch of a new Hard Rock Cafe in the summer of 2004 and Lake of Isles golf club in the spring of 2005.
