RALEIGH—Richard French & Associates, one of the largest independent public relations firms in the Southeast is merging its operations with West & Vaughan, a creative advertising boutique acquired by RF&A in 2001. The new integrated public relations, public affairs and brand communications will be known as French/West/Vaughan.

RF&A acquired W&V in July of last year but the two brands operated separately under a holding company known as FWV PubliCom. With the creation of French/West/Vaughan, RF&A, W&V and FWV PubliCom will cease to exist.

Rick French, president & CEO of French/West/Vaughan, said the firm would continue to be aggressive on the acquisition front.“We are continuing to explore opportunities such as our recent acquisition of Williamsburg, Virginia based McKibben Marketing and I expect we will complete several other PR/PA acquisitions in the next 4-6 months.”
