LOS ANGELES—Manning Selvage & Lee has hired Raúl Garza, former national director of diversity communications at Hill & Knowlton, as the leader and senior vice president of the agency’s newly-formed multicultural specialty.  He will be based in the firm’s Los Angeles office.

Garza will develop and lead the agency’s multicultural capabilities in its consumer marketing, healthcare, corporate communications and public affairs.  He will also spearhead efforts to add new clients to the agency’s roster and assist in enhancing collaboration between MS&L’s North American offices and its Latin American network.

“MS&L is committed to providing the best services possible to our clients, which extends to helping them reach new customers and constituents that are becoming increasingly important to them,” says Brenda Lynch, managing director of MS&L’s Los Angeles office. “Raúl has the kind of insight, experience and passion that will benefit our clients and our staff.”

Prior to joining MS&L, Garza led diversity communications for Hill & Knowlton.  He previously held a series of increasingly senior positions in public relations for AT&T Corp., including national director of multicultural public relations and at the University of California and Bank of America.
