BEIJING—Gavin Anderson & Company, the global financial, corporate and public affairs communications consultancy, has opened its first mainland China office in Beijing. The Omnicom-owned firm has been active in China since the establishment of its office in Hong Kong in 1985 and has advised both multinational and Chinese companies in the domestic and international markets.

Gavin Anderson's office in Beijing will be led by Brion Tingler as director, China. He returns to Beijing after two years with Gavin Anderson in New York City. Tingler previously worked in China between 2001 and 2006, where he advised on a range of financial transactions and corporate communications issues for both domestic Chinese as well as multinational companies.

According to James Weeks, executive chairman Asia-Pacific for Gavin Anderson, "The opening of our Beijing office is an important strategic step for Gavin Anderson. It will enhance our domestic China offering for
our multinational clients, and provide an even stronger platform from which to provide global financial, corporate and public affairs communications counsel to the fast growing number of Chinese businesses with worldwide M&A and capital markets aspirations."

The opening of the Beijing office coincides with Gavin Anderson's sponsorship of Bo'ao Forum for Asia's Access China International Capital Conference in London during the first week of June.
