SAN FRANCISCO—GCI Group has named Nicola Taylor as senior vice president in the firm’s San Francisco operation. Taylor previously served as GCI’s European technology practice leader and leader of its Dell relationship across 27 countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In her new position, she will head the GCI California technology practice and provide leadership across the GCI network on multi-national technology assignments, including playing a key role on the global Dell business.

Before joining GCI, Taylor held senior communications positions with companies such as Oracle and Vignette Corp., as well as with the London operations of Bite Communications and Text 100 where she managed campaigns for Oracle, Microsoft, AT&T, British Telecom and others.

“The nature of the technology market today dictates that agency teams bring understanding and perspective of the unique issues clients face as they navigate through incredibly varied business issues across both emerging and established technology markets,” says Jake Drake, president of GCI’s West region.
