AUSTIN, TX—GCI Group, the public relations division of Grey Global Group now owned by WPP, has named Lynne Skinner and Ben Flusche as co-presidents of GCI Read-Poland, the firm’s Texas operation. The two succeed Jeff Hunt, who was promoted to chief executive of GCI Group in April.
Public relations veteran Julian Read, founder of the firm, has been named chairman of the newly-formed western region of the company. Jake Drake, formerly executive vice president and general manager of the California operation, will serve as president of the West region.
Skinner, who will oversee operations of the Texas office, joined GCI Read-Poland in 2004 as senior vice president after holding positions with the Austin Chamber of Commerce Economic Development, Austin Ventures and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She works with GCI clients including Dell, Vignette, and Whole Foods.
Flusche will work with Read to further develop the West region corporate and public affairs practice. A 25-year veteran of GCI Read-Poland, he will continue to spearhead the firm’s corporate and public affairs practice, serving clients including PULSE EFT Association, Pearson Education, Bell Helicopter and The Scooter Store.
