GCI Picks Up VIVUS

VIVUS, a pharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of sexual dysfunction for both men and women, has retained GCI Group as its public relations agency of record.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, May 24—VIVUS, a pharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of sexual dysfunction for both men and women, has retained GCI Group as its public relations agency of record. GCI will handle corporate and consumer public relations for VIVUS and is charged with increasing the company’s visibility as an industry leader.

According to Leland Wilson, president and chief executive officer, “GCI’s health technology team has the depth of knowledge and industry experience to provide the strategic counsel we need to introduce our pipeline of products to the media.”
The company’s product pipeline has expanded significantly over the last few months with the acquisition of the specific phosphodiesterase inhibitor. VIVUS also has a produce for female sexual arousal disorder in a Phase II clinical trial.
