Genden to Head New York Consumer Group at PR 21

Kurt Genden, most recently executive vice president at marketing communications boutique Evins Communications, has joined PR21 as senior vice president of the agency's New York consumer practice.

NEW YORK--Kurt Genden, most recently executive vice president at marketing communications boutique Evins Communications, has joined PR21 as senior vice president of the agency's New York consumer practice. Genden will be responsible for strategic client counsel, business development and day-to-day operations.

According to Bridget Brennan, PR21's national consumer practice head, "Kurt's experience in travel and hospitality, food and beverage, health and beauty and packaged goods make him the ideal person to take on the growth of the New York office."

After only four years in operation, Edelman subisdiary PR21 has established an impressive base of consumer clients, including Whirlpool, Pizza Hut, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products Company and Skil Power Tools. The recent appointment of new chief executive Jerry Epstein signaled a greater emphasis on consumer business.

At Evins, Genden specialized in creating and implementing marketing communications programs, branding campaigns and new product launches for clients including Allied Domecq Spirits, North America, and a wide array of other companies such as Park Hyatt Hotels, Zone Perfect Nutritional Company, Glaceau Vitaminwater and Marquis Jet Partners.

Prior to his tenure at Evins Communications, Genden spent more than six years in a variety of positions at Middleton & Gendron, a boutique firnm specializing in luxury products and services.
