WASHINGTON, DC—Public relations and issues management veteran Gene Grabowski has joined kglobal as partner. His responsibilities will include business development, client service, counseling the firm’s key clients and directing major campaigns.

Prior to joining kglobal, Grabowski served as executive vice president at Levick, where his work included providing public relations support to the litigation struggle of Kuwaiti detainees in Guantanamo. Additional crisis experience includes the global lead-paint-in-toys recall, and the North American recall of pet foods.

Before that was vice president of communications and marketing for The Grocery Manufacturers of America – the world's largest food trade group, representing brand-name food, beverage, and consumer-product companies. He was the organization's chief communications strategist and spokesperson and directed the organization’s outreach to national and global regulators.

Earlier in his career, Grabowski served as a director in Burson-Marsteller’s Washington office.
