NEW YORK—Burson-Marsteller has appointed Christine Gerstle as managing director in its U.S. healthcare practice. Gerstle has more than 12 years of experience working in healthcare communications, consulting and nutrition, most recently as senior vice president at Porter Novelli.
At Poter Novelli, Gerstle was the team leader for Amgen/Wyeth (now a part of Pfizer) in the U.S. She has expertise in product awareness campaigns, product launches, issues management, FDA regulatory action, coalition building, market development, education campaigns, and global product launches, and experience working in biologics, vaccines, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, epilepsy, depression and women’s health.
Prior to working at Porter Novelli, Gerstle was a partner at North Point Consulting, a corporate health promotion consulting firm, which she founded. There she developed and implemented health promotion programs and seminars for clients such as Gallagher, Sharp, Fulton & Norman; Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff; Ferro Corporation and Colliers International.
Before founding North Point Consulting, she was the director of nutrition at WellCorp.
