NEW YORK—Gibbs & Soell has launched a business consulting practice that will focus on broadening, aligning and elevating the relationship between business and communications strategies and activities.

The practice will focus on brand strategy and positioning; market research, insight and analysis; mind mapping and strategy modeling; and concept ideation and testing, using the agency’s proprietary I Power messaging and strategy process.

The practice will be led by Steve Halsey (pictured), principal and managing director, who has been with the firm since 1998 and led the creation of I Power and spearheaded the development of the agency’s digital and social media offerings.

The new practice launches with client engagements including developing a global brand strategy, creative, and strategic positioning for a major advanced materials company; conducting a market feasibility assessment study for an international trade association; building a new communications model, creative standards, and governance strategy for a global agricultural leader; and business scenario planning for a leading consumer brand.
