WASHINGTON, D.C.—Gibraltar Associates, a boutique public affairs and issues advocacy firm, has added Edward Hoover and Benjamin Schneider. Hoover joins as vice president, providing strategic client counsel and issues management; Schneider joins as associate. Both will be based in Gibraltar’s Washington, D.C. offices.
Hoover brings a decade of international experience in public affairs, government relations, corporate positioning, crisis and issues management, stakeholder outreach, and public education. Before joining Gibraltar, he was a manager of public affairs at Burson-Marsteller, where he served for nearly eight years in four of the firm’s offices, including Sydney, Australia; Washington, D.C.; and Dallas and Austin, Texas. Previously, he worked for BSMG Worldwide (now Weber Shandwick), where he managed technology and consumer client accounts.
Schneider joins Gibraltar from the National Journal Group’s CongressDaily, where he served as a Senate leadership reporter. Previously, he served as an associate editor at Inside Washington Publishers.
