WAHINGTON, D.C.—Public affairs firm Gibraltar Associates has launched its government contracting practice. The introduction of the new practice area follows Gibraltar's receipt of a GSA Schedule contract for advertising and integrated marketing solutions. Gibraltar president James Lake, a veteran of numerous government communications programs, will lead the practice area.
Gibraltar's team is made up of veterans of numerous government contracts. Prior to attaining the firm's GSA Schedule listing, Gibraltar partnered with several Washington-D.C.-based firms on existing contract work for federal agencies.
Prior to joining Gibraltar, Lake was instrumental in building Burson-Marsteller's government contracts portfolio while leading the firm's public affairs practice. His government contracting experience has also included work for the Federal Reserve, the Department of Agriculture and Ginnie Mae, a wholly-owned federal corporation within the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
