GM Vet Wiley Joins Edelman Media Lab

Edelman has hired Michael Wiley as senior vice president in the firm’s global media lab, known as the me2revolution. Wiley most recently worked at General Motors as director of global communications technology and new media.

NEW YORK—Edelman has hired Michael Wiley as senior vice president in the firm’s global media lab, known as the me2revolution. Wiley most recently worked at General Motors as director of global communications technology and new media, in which role he helped to develop the company’s new media strategy, including the GM FastLane Blog, GMability.com, the GM Media Online and GMTV.

At Me2Revolution, Wiley will be directing the development of programs for clients within Edelman’s corporate practice, which provides counsel on corporate reputation management, employee engagement, issues and crisis management, and financial and investor communications.

His experience includes agency, association and global assignments as well as involvement with various internet startups during the 1990s.

He has relocated to Chicago and will be working in Edelman’s Chicago office.
