LOS ANGELES—Kaiser Permanente has selected GolinHarris as one of its agencies of record. The not-for-profit, integrated healthcare organization chose GolinHarris after an extensive six-month search following an internal restructuring last year. The agency is tasked with helping the company expand its media relations outreach, online presence, and to build strategic partnerships. The account will be based in the agency’s Los Angeles and San Francisco offices.

“Healthcare is a complex issue, and Kaiser Permanente’s integrated care delivery system as well as our history of extending access and health programs into our communities and research activities truly differentiate us from other organizations,” says Holly Potter, vice president of public relations and stakeholder management. “We turned to GolinHarris not only because of its healthcare experience and media relations expertise, but also because we felt it could really help us tell our story in a unique and compelling way.

Founded in 1945, Kaiser Permanente serves 8.7 million members in nine states and the District of Columbia and employs 159,000 people across the country.
