CHICAGO. December 7—Two former BSMG Worldwide offices in Dusseldorf and Hamburg will become part of Golin/Harris International as a result of the restructuring that followed BSMG’s merger into Weber Shandwick Worldwide. Both Weber Shandwick and Golin/Harris are owned by the Interpublic Group of Companies.

Golin’s existing German operations are headquartered in Frankfurt.

“The addition of these two offices will greatly expand our service offering in Germany,” says Rich Jernstedt, Golin/Harris CEO. “The expertise of the professionals in these offices will enhance our corporate, marketing and healthcare communications capabilities, which will be a strategic complement to our existing resources in Frankfurt.”

Wolfgang Kreuter has been appointed new managing director for the Duesseldorf and Hamburg offices, which will operate under the Golin/Harris International brand. Benedikt Graf von Westphalen will continue in his role as managing director of the Frankfurt office, which operates as Golin/Harris B&L.

“Each Golin/Harris office in Germany has specialized consulting expertise in a key strategic practice area,” said von Westphalen. “For example, our financial communications team in Germany is headquartered in Frankfurt, while the consumer marketing team is based in Hamburg. The Duesseldorf office is the center of our healthcare practice in Germany.”

Golin/Harris now has a staff of 23 in Germany.
