CHICAGO—The Society of Actuaries has selected GolinHarris as its public relations agency of record.  The agency is charged with helping the SOA lead a profession-wide branding initiative to significantly enhance the value of actuaries within the traditional and non-traditional business sectors. The assignment includes brand development, member communications and external communications.

“The Society of Actuaries has challenged itself to unite the profession behind a singular vision of becoming a 21st Century Thought Leader. We were looking for a partner that could help us to re-brand, empower our membership and undertake an aggressive public relations campaign,” says Joel Albizo, deputy executive director. “We were impressed with the talented team of professionals that GolinHarris brought to the table and the exciting plans they delivered in all these areas.”

He adds that believes GolinHarris “will help us give a voice to an industry all too often overlooked by key stakeholders, including C-suite employers and top-tier media.”

The engagement will be led out of Chicago by Trent Frager, vice president and Victoria Entwistle, account group supervisor, in the firm’s corporate communications practice.
