CHICAGO—GolinHarris has appointed James Kelly as the agency’s first creative director. Kelly is based in the agency’s New York office and will report to Ellen Ryan Mardiks, vice chairman.
Kelly will provide creative counsel and strategic insights to new and existing clients and on new business opportunities. He will work closely with teams to inspire their creativity through a more disciplined and focused creative process that he will design and lead.
Prior to joining GolinHarris, Kelly was senior vice president and creative director for Weber Shandwick’s U.K. and Ireland region, where he was responsible for providing strategic and creative council on new business and client campaigns, as well as instilling discipline around the process of finding creative ideas that work.
Before Weber Shandwick, Kelly held positions with Porter Novelli and Manning, Salvage & Lee in the U.K.
