Gonring Returns to Corporate Realm with Pactiv

Matt Gonring, a veteran corporate communications professional, is joining $3.5 billion food service and food packaging company Pactiv—best known for its Hefty brand—as vice president of communications.

LAKE FOREST, IL—Matt  Gonring, a veteran corporate communications professional, is joining $3.5 billion food service and food packaging company Pactiv—best known for its Hefty brand—as vice president of communications.

 

Gonring has spent the past three years as a consultant with Chicago-based internal communications specialist Gagen MacDonald, working with clients in the financial services, pharmaceuticals, automotive, consumer products and manufacturing sectors on issues involving functional operations and structure, change management, leadership communications, employee engagement, channel application and utilization, messaging, and organizational alignment.

 

Before joining Gagen MacDonald, Gonring was vice president of global marketing and communications at Rockwell Automation where he was managed the corporation's global marketing, internal, external and web communications, advertising, issues management and brand development. Earlier, he was vice president, corporate communications for Baxter International; managing partner, communications and integrated marketing, for Arthur Andersen; and spent ten years at USG Corporation where he was vice president, corporate communications

 

According to Gonring, Pactiv CEO Richard Wambold “is noted for being a strong operating leader and I am looking forward to working with him, joining his team and helping to grow the company.”
