LONDON--Good Relations has emerged successful from the 45-firm tender to appoint a new PR firm for the UK's Royal Albert Hall.
Good Relations has been appointed to help raise the profile of Royal Albert Hall as a charity as well as promote its public benefit and programming initiatives. The Royal Albert Hall last called for public funding in 2004, but is aiming to raise money this year to upgrade the building.
The agency won the account following a three-stage pitch process, and was chosen from the 45 agencies who responded to the brief.
"Beyond maintaining a grade 1 listed building, our efforts include encouraging musical appreciation and participation for youth throughout the country," said Royal Albert Hall chief executive Chris Cotton in a statement. "Good Relations were selected from a strong and creative shortlist”.
The agency began work on the 12-month campaign at the start of this month, focusing on profiling, media relations and brand activation.
“It is an honour to be working with such an iconic, national treasure," added Good Relations creative director Will Scougal. "We admitted we weren’t aware of its charitable status and are determined to change this perception within the media and amongst the Great British public over the coming months.”
