LOS ANGELES—Veteran entertainment public relations executive Betsy Wagner Hoffman is joining Goodman Media International as president of its new Los Angeles office.

Hoffman has worked in senior positions at Fox, CBS and People Magazine. The move reunites Hoffman with Goodman Media founder Tom Goodman, who was the senior communications professional at CBD News before launching his own agency.

“Betsy will have an immediate impact on our growth plans in Los Angeles and in our service to our many media clients requiring superior West Coast representation,” Goodman said.  “She is one of the most talented executives in our profession, and all of us at Goodman Media are thrilled that she has joined our company.”

Hoffman served as vice president, publicity and public relations for Fox Broadcasting Company, and was instrumental in helping the new network establish its unique brand identity, overseeing publicity for shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place, In Living Color and The X Files. Prior to that, she served as director of entertainment publicity for CBS Entertainment, developing and overseeing strategic publicity efforts for primetime, late night, daytime and children’s programming.

Hoffman has also been active providing publicity expertise to public service campaigns for organizations such as Reach Out and Read and The White House Literacy Task Force.
