BOSTON—The New England Clean Energy Council has selected Greenough Communications as its new agency of record. The Council is a leading regional clean energy business membership and cluster development non-profit, and Greenough will develop and support the Council’s social media and public affairs programs, as well traditional media relations campaigns.

“By building an active community of stakeholders and a world-class cluster of clean energy companies, the Council accelerates the growth of New England’s clean energy economy, yielding much-needed job growth for our region and ultimately energy independence for our country,” says Council president Peter Rothstein. “At this crucial juncture, we need every resource available to get the message out, and Greenough brings to the Council team clean energy industry knowledge, creative strategies for all types of media and hands-on experience in public affairs.”

Greenough's clean energy experience includes companies such as 1366 Technologies, Advanced Electron Beams, Enemoc, Harvest Power, Northern Power Systems, the U.S. Department of Energy’s ECOCar Challenge, and World Energy.
