Grocery Manufacturers' Group Adds Two to Communications Team

The Grocery Manufacturers/Food Products Association has strengthened its communications and marketing capability with the appointment of Sean McBride as vice president of communications and Scott Openshaw as director of communications.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Grocery Manufacturers/Food Products Association has strengthened its communications and marketing capability with the appointment of Sean McBride as vice president of communications and Scott Openshaw as director of communications. 
 
Prior to joining GMA/FPA, McBride served as a senior communications consultant to several private and not-for-profit organizations, including the Grocery Manufacturers Association and Porter Novelli public relations. He previously served as vice president of communications for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Legal Reform, director of communications for the American Beverage Association, and has worked for numerous political candidates, including Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, (R-Tex.), and President George H.W. Bush. 

Scott Openshaw most recently served as director of communications for the Office of Tourism, Trade & Economic Development within the Executive Office of Governor Jeb Bush, (R-Fla).  Previously, he held communications, sales and marketing positions with Nationwide, UBS and SkyTel.
