LONDON—GSK has concluded its lengthy global PR review, appointing numerous firms to its communications roster.

The review initially began in mid-2012 before restarting again last year. It  covered the healthcare giant's three key business units: pharmaceutical, biological and consumer healthcare.

The Holmes Report understands that a number of network agencies and independent players have been named to the roster, including a mix of incumbent and new agencies. GSK agency partners have included Chandler Chicco, Virgo, Ogilvy Healthworld, Huntsworth Health,Tonic Life, Weber Shandwick, Unity and Citigate.

A GSK spokesperson confirmed that the roster review had now been completed, but declined to provide further details. "GSK regularly reviews its relationships with its third party suppliers and agencies so this is not something that is out of the ordinary," she said.

According to sources involved in the process, the review covered a range of capbilities, including media relations, pharmacy trade media, brand PR, experiential and patient advocacy, across GSK's global operations.
