H&K Adds Depth to Mexico Office

Hill & Knowlton has named Maria Amparo Lasso, an international journalist and communications specialist, as executive vice president in the firm’s Mexico office, responsible for new business development and organic growth.

MEXICO CITY—Hill & Knowlton has named Maria Amparo Lasso, an international journalist and communications specialist, as executive vice president in the firm’s Mexico office, responsible for new business development and organic growth. She will oversee the practice areas of corporate communications, health & wellness and public affairs and will report to José Antonio Tamayo, president and managing director.

Prior to joining Hill & Knowlton, Lasso was regional communications advisor for Latin America and the Caribbean for the United Nations Development Program, where she provided counsel to 24 countries in the region with emphasis in crisis management. Lasso has advised on regional communications initiatives throughout Latin America for the Pan-American Health Organization, the World Bank, the Andean Development Corporation and the United Nations Environment Program.
